May, 2007

Well done to everyone who took part in the May, 2007 Competitions at Southlands Centre, where our children did exceptionally well and received many first, second and third places, not to mention the 12 trophies we won in a number of different categories. The children have worked really hard - Well done everyone!!

Fundraising

Our fundraising over the last few months has paid for all the costumes needed for our pantomime, the 88 costumes needed for our trip to Sadlers Wells and has subsidised members of the Junior and Senior ballet classes to visit the ARC in Stockton to see contemporary performances. It has also subsidised a trip to Stockton Riverside College to watch the LIPA touring show "Breaking Out" in which our former student and teacher, Stacey Pike was a member of the Cast and Dance Captain.
We were also able to buy an invaluable piece of medical equipment a Pari E flow nebuliser for a member of our school, Abigail Joyce, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis to make life a little easier for her and her family. We have given a donation to the Childrens Heart Unit Fund as a way of saying thank you to Freeman Hospital for everything they did for Izobel Formby Jackson's brother Theo who I am delighted to say is doing really well following his operation.

THANK YOU

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped with costumes, music, fundraising and general running of the studio and events. Tickets are available from ARC Box Office so don't miss this fantastic show!! We wish everyone good luck.

Studio Security

Please could I remind all parents to close the door when they enter and leave the building so that the security alarm can function properly - this is for your child's security.

Please note that we have appointed people for First Aid who have completed basic First Aid Training. These are: Karen Heritage and Kayleigh Davies.
